PANDITA

Pandita was found abandoned, along with her sisters, on a rainy country road when they were roughly five weeks old. She’s now around six weeks old (as of September 22) and weighs 1.3 kilos. She’s in good health, has had her first vaccine and been given medication for parasites.

She’s currently living with a foster family who are working diligently to socialize her with other dogs, cats and children and expose her to a variety of different environments. She lives with a large, elderly female dog who she loves to play with, but is also respectful of her space when clear boundaries are set.

This sweet girl loves the comfort of her crate, and sometimes puts herself to bed with her stuffed rhino. She’s happy to entertain herself, and doesn’t cry when she’s alone at night or during the day when her fosters are working. She can be a little timid in loud environments or around large groups of people, but this is likely due to age and will improve with time.

Despite having a sad start, she’s a trusting, affectionate and playful little lady. She has some residual food anxiety stemming from her experiences, but this is slowly improving.

Her fosters are happy to provide additional photos and videos to those interested (or see her on Instagram for cuteness overload…)

Sex: Female

Age: Six weeks (approximately)

Spayed: She will be when she is of age, however if she’s adopted before then, this will be a part of the requirements for her successful adoption. We can assist with this locally.

Health concerns: None

Size: Likely smaller medium sized

Potty trained: No, but her fosters are working on it.

Cat-friendly: Yes, however she’s simultaneously cautious and curious around them.

Dog friendly: Yes, if they’re calm and not barking at her or aggressive.

Kid friendly: She loves kids, but as she’s still quite tiny, she’d be best suited for a home with kids over 10 years of age.

Kennel-trained: Working on it, but she’s very comfortable being on her own.

Car trained: She does fine in the car.

Leash-walking: She’s just started wearing a collar when out for walks and sticks very close when out and about. Her fosters have not yet tried leash training, but they will soon.
