We are currently seeking foster families in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Many of our rescue pups need immediate care and home training. All dogs are different and have different needs. Foster families should be patient, loving and excited to spend time with their foster dog. Most of our dogs have been living on the street. Many have experienced neglect or abuse. Foster families play an important role in helping them adjust to life in a caring home for the first time ever.
This opportunity is perfect for people who love dogs but might not be able to make a long-term commitment to one at this point in their lives. Locals who want to try out pet-ownership, or foreigners staying for a while in Oaxaca and want some company are all great foster candidates!
We ask for a minimum commitment of one month.
When a dog is being fostered, Caravana Canina is responsible for covering the animals medical expenses and food. We can also loan beds, leash, toys and any other necessary items, if needed.
