Mia
A playful loving puppy who is very human focused and affectionate.
As of April 2, 2022, Mia is approximately 10 months old and weights 14kg.
She is spayed, vaccinated and healthy.
Mia is good with kids & other animals, great on a leash and in the car. As a puppy, she needs a lot of attention and playing time with toys or other dogs.
Mia was rescued by our partner Layla who shares this story:
“Mia and her 3 sisters grew up near the highway on the way to Teotitlan Del Valle. In October 2021 when I was working on bringing another dog in that area named Canela home; I met Mia and her sisters when they were around 5 months old and very scared of humans. Together with a local ranch family I met, we worked to get the puppies friendly with us. Then in November 2021 they were sterilized at a TeoTails stabilization campaign. In December 2021 they received their vaccines. I would visit them with food and work to become closer with them. One sister was adopted by the helping ranch family. But sadly in February 2022 one of the sisters died from poison and another sister named Yasmine was hit by a car and broke her leg which made her very scared of humans. I am still trying to bring Yasmine for medical care.
Mia was always the friendliest and most playful. I brought her home and she has been learning from the adult dogs how to behave and have manners. She is very human focused but she also loves playing with the other dogs and toys. She is very sweet and submissive. She is still new to the city and nervous on busy streets but walks very well on leash in our neighborhood and off leash on hikes.
Mia is a great age to begin connecting with someone and learning their house rules. She will need a lot of attention but is also a fairly calm and obedient dog. She would be great to join a family with children or existing dogs.”
