LUNA
Luna is an incredibly sweet girl. She is quite shy and submissive when meeting new people, but once she warms up she is full of kisses and loves to be petted. She does an adorable happy dance when it is time for dinner or her walk. It is delightful!
Luna loves walks and exploring, but is not high engery. After a good solid walk, she is happy to rest on her bed or near her human for the rest of the day.
Luna was tied to a tree for at least a year in a fenced-in lot. The owners of the lot would occassionally come and feed her and check on their property. She finally broke lose and crawled under the fence. Her rescuer, Holly, found her emaciated and with 6 puppies.
Luna is a brave soul who has overcome severe neglect. She has learned to fully enjoy life, but needs gentle encouragement to remember that she is a brave girl when in new environments.

Dog-friendly: Luna is friendly with other dogs when introduced to them in a calm way an on leashes. Dominant female dogs tend to bully her, as she is quite submissive. She needs a home where she is a second dog to a male or a very sweet female. She would also be good as an only dog.
Kid-friendly: Yes. An older child would probably be best since Luna can be startled easily.
