Baloo
Baloo was found in January of 2023, injured and dehydrated. He has lived with his rescuer, Holly, since then. Baloo is whip smart, eager to please, and very affectionate!! Once he bonds with his people, he is in love! He loves to be petted and give kisses, and be by his humans.
Baloo will need a family that ideally has husky experience. He will need daily exercise and mental stimulation like all huskies do. Particularly, he will need to work on gaining confidence with new people and situations, especially seeing other dogs on walks and with loud traffic noises. He has been working with a trainer on resource guarding and socialization, and has greatly improved, but will still need to training for resource guarding (of toys, food, and water) with his new family, as well as allowing new people into his space.

Dog-friendly: Yes. Baloo needs slow introductions to other dogs, but once he knows them he does well with them. He loves to play! He tends to get along well with female dogs and non-dominant male dogs.

Kennel-trained: Yes. Baloo loves his kennel.
Leash-walking: Yes. Baloo walks daily on a leash.
