Mayahuel

Mayahuel is a bold, fearless female. She is shepherd mix and will grow to be a medium/large size dog.

Mayahuel was found in Chichicapam region of Oaxaca, at a mezcal palenque. He dog mother was malnourished and nursing a littler of 7 puppies; she eventually abandoned the two runts to focus on raising the 5 strongest puppies. Mayahuel and her sister were the two runts — her sister didn’t survive, but she did.

We bottle fed her, and found a couple nursing mom dogs for her to nurse from. She is now very strong and confident. She is extremely intelligent and would thrive either being the only dog in a large family, or, being adopted by a single person who can form a very strong bond and train her to be a smart and loyal companion. She will be big and active, and would do well with an active, outdoor lifestyle.

She has lived with other dogs and cats, and gets along with both. She can be mischievous, but also understands rules, she needs a human not afraid to explain the rules.

As of Oct 2, 2023, she is approximately 3 months old. She has started vaccines and will be spayed when she is old enough. She will be ready for adoption in December.

Please fill out an adoption form if you are interested in giving this smart and loving girl a home.
