Ficus

Ficus is a very loving, special-needs dog, who requires a home with a family who has the appropriate time to dedicate to his therapies.

He was found on the street paralyzed from the waist down, due to a fracture in his spine (likely caused by being hit by a car or some similar trauma). Judging by his teeth, he is also a distemper survivor.

As of April 2, 2022, he has been vaccinated , and dewormed, and is receiving medicines and therapies to see if he can gain more mobility in his back legs and control of his bladder. We are hopeful that he will show some recovery, but if he doesn’t, he may need to wear diapers, and use a wheelchair throughout his life.

We will continue to share updates about Ficus on our Instagram page.
