Durazno

Durazno

Durazno is a dog in our neighborhood who technically has owners, although she roams the streets freely. We spent months trying to capture her because she has TVT, transmissible venereal tumor, a highly painful and contagious STD that causes cancers and spreads amongst dogs.

We were finally able to capture her with the help of a local who uses blow darts and other techniques to sedate dogs. As of November 10, 2020, she is has been spayed and is undergoing chemo treatments to heal her TVT. She will hopefully be ready for adopting in approximately 3-4 months.

Please contact us if you are interested in fostering or adopting Durazno, or please consider making a donation if you’d like to support her chemotherapy treatments.
