Chevy

Chevy is a dog in our neighborhood who lives in front of a mechanic shop. She’s had at least two litters of puppies, the second of which we found homes for with the help of Friends of Megan animal rescue.

We spent months trying to capture her but were not able to gain her trust. Eventually, we hired Tobias, a local man who uses blow darts to tranquilize street dogs. Upon tranquilizing her, we realized she has TVT, transmissible venereal tumor, a highly painful and contagious STD that causes tumors and spreads easily amongst un-spayed and un-neutered sdogs.

As of November 10, 2020, she is has been spayed and will soon begin undergoing chemo treatments to heal her TVT. She will hopefully be ready for adopting in approximately 4 months.

Please contact us if you are interested in fostering or adopting Chevy, or please consider making a donation if you’d like to support her chemotherapy treatments.
