Our umbrella organization, Thread Caravan, has been hosting cultural art workshops in rural communities with high street dog populations since 2015. This specific project, Caravana Canina, sprouted and grew organically out of an immediate need experienced by communities in which Thread Caravan hosts workshops.

We believe that the best longterm solution to eliminate street dog neglect and abuse is population control via spaying and neutering. These procedures are at the core of our efforts; however, we also feed, vaccinate, deworm, foster and adopt dogs on a case-by-case basis in Mexico and Guatemala.
